Forgiveness is spiritual. As much as perceived emotional, it is spiritual. You will not forgive somebody if you are not aligned, at peace, centered, and in love. As much as you are emotionally tempted to forgive, “removing” the feeling while still remaining judgmental about what happened, does bring you back to the remorse and the pain you must have felt.
Forgiveness is understanding everything, being in tune, connected, to the universe. Understanding that there is no good or bad, there is no consequence, and all is an experience. And then you can forgive. And forget.
While what you actually did might have some “consequences”, understanding that what you did was to feel the pain or to give you the opportunity to forgive and forget, will actually release a whole bunch of energy toxic to the process of your ascension and experience.
Understanding that forgiving is not pretending that what you (or somebody else) did has never happened, yet being able to separate the being from the doing, and feel care, empathy and love for the being, deeply feeling for you or the other, starts the experience of forgiveness.
Experiencing the deep relief of being able to still love the being, to have permission to love the being in spite of their mistakes, gives the person complete freedom, and the fulfilling peace. You are still loved, accepted, valid. You can now turned to your “mistake” to see that it is not so bad and nothing seems so meager as it used to be before. You feel free, liberated, you take ownership, responsibility, and you change all the possible outcomes as you do not need to experience it again.
When you experience forgiveness truly, you will not “make mistakes” or “be wronged” again – it “will simply be left out” of your experience as there is nothing else to be learnt, felt, conceived.
