The Approved Addiction

“I am busy” “I need to work” “I am reading” “I am helping” “I am volunteering” “I am doing my health routine” ….

“I am smoking – again” “I am drinking” “I am eating” “I am playing” “I am doing nothing”

which ones are “best”? Which ones are “good”? why are “we” approving some of the behaviors and disapproving others? Are they really unhealthy? why is a smoker dying and another reaching centenary?

why do we approve some addictions and the same powerfully disapprove of others?

why?

Is it a function of the mind? constantly reaching for logic? getting bored with what they have already discovered?

We are not able to see – and accept – the truth even when we undoubtedly see it?

Who are we to agree and disagree?

Regardless of the type and the reason of the addiction, addiction is still addiction. There is no difference between an alcoholic and an workaholic, between someone who never cares and someone who always cares. Addictions are here to fill an empty hole, to take a attention away from an wounded heart – and self – and making sure you, the addictive, never takes care of, and solve your own “cares” sometimes with the benefit of being even praised.

If you are constantly doing things that you are not really fond of – meaning that you know they don’t add up, and influence positively your evolution – re-think. Stop doing those. If you feel you are addicted to something your own choice – a hobby maybe – pay more attention, do it more consciously.

Healthy “addictions” – interests that make you “lose” your heart only to find a “better”, more loving and touching one – propel you to your next level of evolution and naturally fade away when they “have fulfilled their mission”: you reached your new level of evolution in a permanent, natural way.

(ps each addiction has its own mission. It is worth finding out their message. You can do it by simply setting your intention to such endevour, in meditation, by talking to your inner child, eft, talking to your source, higher self and angels. and any other method you may feel comfortable with.)
