Expecting people – adults – to live in a free, relaxed atmosphere … Have a beautiful life … Once they “took control” of their own life … you’d expect to be there. The Freedom, The Happiness, The Wisdom.
It is not. They are not.
Adults will not be different than what-they-used-to-be children. “The growing up” or “the maturity” will not wipe off the shame, the anger, the unclarity, the pressure. They will merely change the master with themselves.
They will not be able to make loving choices if they have never done that before.
They will not be able to choose themselves if they have never done that before.
They will not be able to treasure others – like really treasure and enjoy – if they have never done it before.
While parents may be gone, teachers left, the “kids” will re-create the “masters”. They will pressure themselves or they will be bound to feel the pressure they believe the others inflict on themselves – husbands, lovers, children, bosses, society. They will be always resistant.
Next time you are “hurrying” yourself – or your children- remember there is no pressure. There is just time itself, and if you allow a little bit of awareness, things will just resolve themselves.
Remember.
(every time you are remembering you are creating and integrating the new habit. Pressure will be released from your life little by little, smaller things to greater ones. Change to freedom will be Present).
